Rhyming Time Poems

Directions:

1. Run off 4 to 6 Word Family Lists.

2. Start with one sentence that has a word family word in it. Then the second sentence also has a word family word. So the sentence rhyme and tell a story.

Example:

I had to cross the moat.

I used the closest boat.

I scaled the wall.

Then ran down the hall.
To find the queen.

Who turned a bright green.

3. You can write rhyming sentences together or each person can write their own rhyme.

4. Once you are done writing. Read your rhyming poems out loud. See if you can illustrate your poem.
