Print off the "Animal Masks" art directions and get started creating your animal mask!

Animal Mask 

Materials Needed:

Paper plates, scissors, yarn, feathers, felt, glue, shoe laces, pipe cleaners, cotton, 

markers, tongue depressor etc…

Directions:

• Take a paper plate and cut holes for eyes, nose, and mouth.

• Add animal features such as yarn for a lion’s mane, feathers for a bird, or spots for a leopard.  Add ears, noses, or beaks; whiskers made from pipe cleaners, spots with felt, and hair with yarn.  Make beaks by folding paper so it is doubled and then cutting out a triangle.  Use markers to add details such as stripes, eye brows, or lashes. 

• Attach shoe laces or yarn to the paper plate mask so they can be tied on or glue a tongue depressor so the mask can be held in front of a face.
