Getting Your Toddler to Help
*Toddlers love to help so get them involved. Make a game of cleaning.
*Make it a fun exercise to pick up the toys. Sing their favorite song together at this time.
*When you are dusting let them help. Give your child a feather duster. Chant a favorite rhyme or sing a song.
*When cooking get them helping you to measure and they can take over the stirring.
*Kids love to help set the table and what a better way of counting. How many plates, spoons, napkins, and forks do you need?
*When doing errands give them a task. At the store they may have the list to read, help you count the things you need, find the isle you are looking for, let them be creative, and they will come up with great task they want to do.
