Can You Name That Rule?
Children need to be fluent with addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division patterns. The more children work with numbers and patterns the easier number patterns become.
One person asks a pattern question and the other person has to, “Name That Rule.”
Example:
There are 3 turtles in a pond and 4 more get into the pond. Then, 4 more turtles get into the pond and 4 more turtles get into the pond.
There are 28 cookies on a plate and 7 get eaten. Then, 7 more cookies get eaten and 7 more cookies get eaten.
