Tens Frame
· Count each square by putting a counter in each square.
· Take the counters off and count backwards.
· Put ___ counters on the tens frame. Ask, “How many counters are on the frame?”
· Put ___ counters on the tens frame. Ask, “How many more counters should I add to get to 10?”
· Put 10 counters on the tens frame. Say, “I am going to take off ___ counters, how many counters do I have left?”
· Put ___ counters on the tens frame. Ask, “How many more counters do I need to get to ___?” or Ask, “I have ___ counters on the tens frame, I am taking off ___ how many do I have left?”
