Print off the "2 Tens Frames" game and get playing!

2 Tens Frames

· Count each square by putting a counter in each square (1-20).

· Take the counters off and count backwards (20-1).

· Put ___ counters on the 2 tens frames. Ask, “How many counters are on the frame?”

(You are showing the numbers and not adding so you fill the frames. Such as 13 you would fill 1 Tens Frame and put 3 counters on the other.)

· Put ___ counters on the 2 Tens Frames. Ask, “How many more counters should I add to get to 20?”

· Put 20 counters on the tens frame. Say, “I am going to take off ___ counters, how many counters do I have left?”

· Put ___ counters on the 2 Tens Frames. Ask, “How many more counters do I need to get to ___?” or Ask, “I have ___ counters on the 2 Tens Frame, I am taking off ___ how many do I have left?”
