Picture Story Patterns Using Subtraction

Children need to be fluent with any subtraction pattern, starting from any number. The more children work with numbers and patterns the easier number patterns become.

One person asks a pattern question and the other person has to answer it as quickly as they can.

There are 15 turtles in the pond and 3 crawl out. How many turtles are in the pond? 3 more crawl out, 3 more crawl out, 3 more crawl out...
